Since their humble beginnings in a freezing cold farmhouse near Rochdale in the winter of 2006, this Manchester-based quartet has gelled and matured into one of the funkiest and energetic outfits on the British folk music scene.  Featuring two Chetham’s School of Music students, Jim Molyneux and Dan Day, James Meadows, a semi-finalist in the 2006 Radio Young 2 Folk Awards, and violinist Nicola Lyons they tread “a relatively untrodden path between sophisticated jazz and rambunctious folk music” according to citylife.co.uk.
