Opening Times
Wednesday 11th July
Campsite & Village open 3pm, Gardens open 6pm.
Thursday 12th-Sunday 15th July
Campsite, Village & Gardens open 9am.
No new arrivals can be admitted after 10.30pm on any night. The campsite closes at midday on Monday 16th July.
All camping (tents, caravans and campervans) is included in the ticket price, and is available for the date/s on your ticket only. For example, if you have a 3-day ticket you may not arrive on Thursday night. (Please don't arrive early as we won't be able to let you in - for info about an alternative campsite in a nearby village call the Festival Office on 01725 552300.)
Camping Areas
We’ve created designated areas within our campsite so you can choose which one suits you best! There’s Quiet Camping for those of you who like more peace at night and in the mornings, Family Camping if a family atmosphere is more what you’re looking for and our General Camping with the normal chilled atmosphere for those of you who don’t mind either way! We always ask that you’re considerate of your neighbours whichever part of the campsite you’re staying in. There is a separate field for caravans, campervans and trailer tents (please see the campsite map below).
Parking
Parking is free and it's not more than a five/ten minute walk to the festival entrance. There are allocated parking areas for those camping in tents - for everyone's safety we do not allow cars to unload or stop in roadways or to be parked next to tents. Cars pulling caravans/trailer tents can be parked alongside them in the caravan/campervan field. Day ticket holders will only be permitted to park in the Day Parking car park. Please try to keep the number of vehicles you bring to the festival to a minimum and help to reduce the impact of the festival on the environment and local communities.
Caravans and Campervans
Space in the caravan/campervan field is free and you don’t need to book a place. However we do need to know if someone else is delivering for you, which must be arranged in advance - call 01725 552300 or e-mail info@larmertreefestival.co.uk. There will be room beside your caravan/campervan/trailer tent for one or two tents for family and friends.
Facilities
There is plenty of space and with panoramic views of the countryside, you can actually see The Needles on the Isle of Wight! With our award winning toilets, free hot showers, ample water points (in both fields) and the Larmer Lock-Up, café and shops (in the tent field), your camping experience should be a happy and relaxing one.
The Larmer 'Express'
Although all campsites are very close to the festival, The Larmer Express is back again to help transport you to and from the campsites to save your legs! This service is kindly provided by 1st Woodcutts Scouts - it is free, but donations are welcome!
Mr Trolley helps you out!
Back again for their third year, Mr Trolley will be providing a trolley hire service to help you carry all your stuff from your car to your camping spot and back. There will be a point near the car park where you can hire a trolley, load up and ease into the festival without straining your back! The trolleys have a loadspace of 1220mm x 635mm, big enough to carry roughly three people’s gear. After paying a deposit you are provided with a trolley with three bungees and safe use of the trolley is explained. When a trolley is returned, the duration of hire time and price is calculated. The cost of the hire is then deducted from the deposit and the remainder returned to you.
Toilet Roll
Although we try our very best to keep the toilets well stocked, please bring your own toilet roll just in case!
Cooking and Fires
Open fires and candles are strictly forbidden for safety reasons. You may use gas or charcoal burning BBQs, but not disposable BBQs - they are an extreme fire risk. Please make sure gas canisters aren't changed inside tents or caravans.
As a matter of Health and Safety we advise all those staying in a caravan or campervan to install a working fire alarm in your live-in vehicle as an early warning system in the event of a fire.
Chinese Lanterns
We know they are beautiful, but unfortunately Chinese lanterns have to be banned at the festival - the fire, paper and wire make-up of the lanterns puts the gardens, local village thatched properties and livestock at risk. Please help us to keep the festival and surrounding countryside safe by not using them.
Water
There are plenty of drinking water points throughout the campsites and festival. To conserve water we can't allow paddling pools, and please don't waste water on water bombs or water balloons.
Security of Cars, Tents and Property
Our stewarding team and professional security company will keep a watchful eye on the camping fields 24-hours a day, however we cannot accept responsibility for any losses that may occur. As we have experienced thefts in the past, to keep your belongings safe we recommend that you look at our Welfare page for tips and more info.
Day Ticket Holders
Day ticket holders can camp on the nights you have a valid ticket for. We’ve created a Day Camping/Parking which is ideal if you’re in need of an easy place to set up camp for the night! You’re still able to camp in the tent field if you’d prefer, although you will have to park your car in Day Camping/Parking and walk (make use of Mr Trolley and the Larmer Express). If you’re bringing a campervan, caravan or trailing tent to the festival, you will be directed to camp in the Campervan/Caravan field. Day ticket holders are only permitted to park in Day Parking. You can always lie in a little, as you can camp until 11am the morning after your ticket expires. Please don't turn up the night before your ticket is valid, as we won't be able to let you onto the site.
Disabled Parking & Camping Area
The disabled campsite is close to the festival entrance, has adapted toilets (also available within the festival site) and is available to those who book a place in advance. Places in the disabled parking and camping area must be arranged in advance, for info or to book concessionary tickets see our Welfare page.
