Volunteers...
We were inundated with volunteers for the 2010 festival and it was a great success, so if you would like to find out a bit more about volunteering at the festival or want to be added to our database to be contacted about volunteering at next year’s festival, please e-mail vols@larmertreefestival.co.uk.
Why Volunteer? Volunteers are crucial to the festival and help to make it so special. Apart from playing a part in one of the teams that look after festival-goers and help to make the event run smoothly, volunteering is a chance to meet and work with like-minded people. Then after your shifts are finished, enjoy the music, workshops and unique atmosphere of the Larmer Tree!
We recruit nearly 400 volunteers each year, covering no less than 13 different roles, before, during and after the festival. Here are some comments from last year’s volunteers…
“We really enjoyed working for the festival again, it's such a friendly team and you make us feel very welcome! Thanks for the wonderful organising skills, see you next year!” Sam Baker and Simon Daultrey (Workshops and Stewarding)
“Loo watch, all lovely, I had a brilliant festival! Very impressed by the volunteer tent, and very friendly atmosphere too.” Annabelle Valentine (Loo Watch)
“Thanks for giving me the opportunity it was amazing - everyone was so friendly and I will definitely be coming back next year. Gill was very helpful and a lovely person to work with and we are going to keep in touch!” Jacquie Bidwell (Volunteer HQ Steward)
