Dress-Up Saturday 2012 - All At Sea!

From delicate seahorses and swashbuckling pirates to memorising mermaids and dancing dolphins, let your imagination go as deep as the ocean floor... yes, you guessed it, All At Sea is this year’s Dress-up Saturday theme.  

We had a massive response to the poll, nearly 600 votes, so thanks to everyone that took part - we hope you’re looking forward to creating your aquatic costume as much we are.

Here’s the themes since Dress-up Saturday began in 2006…

2011 - ‘50s Retro Revival
Polka dots, leathers and quiffs were the order of this retro day - you turned out all greased up and ready to rock 'n' roll!

2010 - Book-a-like
Fact or fiction - you came as your favourite literary character… there were certainly some ‘novel’ ideas worthy of the Booker Prize.

2009 - Movie Mania
With more glamour than the Oscars, this was your chance to be a star of the silverscreen in our blockbuster 2009 theme.

2008 - Come Dancing
Anything dance-related, from linedancing to disco and breakdancing to ballet… we saw plenty of men in tu-tus.

2007 - AKA
This was the year to be your alter ego and assume an anonymous secret identity for the day.

2006 - My Favourite Artist
Whether it was your favourite musician, painter or sculptor, alive or departed, you all dressed-up and joined in the fun.
