Comedy Headliner: Tim Minchin

posted on 09/02/2012

We’re thrilled to announce that comedy superstar Tim Minchin will be our comedy headliner on Thursday night - the first comedian to grace the Larmer Tree Festival Main Stage!  Tim, complete with his grand piano, will be wowing us with his unique brand of musical comedy, iconic dance moves, wildly teased hair, and enormous sense of occasion.  Guaranteed to have us in stitches, you can look forward to material chosen from his back-catalogue of hilarious, scathing and often unsettlingly lovely songs.  Check out our Line-Up pages for details of all acts booked.  Buy your tickets now!

We’re pleased to announce a whole host of great acts have been added to our growing line-up. On Thursday, we’re welcoming back Edward II.  MOBO award-winning artist Akala will be fusing rap, rock and electro-punk with fierce lyrical storytelling on Sunday. He’ll also be hosting an interactive workshop with alternative theatre outfit, The Hip-hop Shakespeare Company. Plus, bringing pelvis-pushing juke music, Vintage Trouble will be supporting Jools Holland on Wednesday night.

Plus, other just booked acts include: Shlomo, Otis Gibbs, Jason Ringenberg, Urban Folk Quartet, The Wave Pictures, Crowns, Rachel Sermanni, Keston Cobblers Club and Still Moving DJs. The legendary DJ Derek is also back and ready to spin some more reggae classics from his battered backpack. Read more about these artists on our Line-Up pages.
